I'll be the first to say a person has the right to develop or sell their land to whom ever they wish however, I just have to vent a bit.
I've had a good relation with many land owners over the years and have had the good fortune of having permission to hunt on their land but as these owners age and move to town developers are buying up everything and putting acreages every where. As each quarter of land gets sold the no hunting signs go up. As it stands my current spot is now bordered on three sides by quarters set to be chopped up. Perhaps a year or two and that will be it.
I'll still be able to hunt on the piece where I am but the deer will be chased out by all the construction, quads tearing around etc etc...
I do not have the time off to go for a week to good areas of crown land and circumstances keep me close to home. This is starting to wear me down and I wonder how much longer it will be till I have to call it quits. Hopefully there will be enough years left for my young son to grow to the point where he can go off on his own with his friends. Right now he comes with me and is really getting into hunting. Last year he shot his first deer and is chomping at the bit to get at it this year. If it were just me I could call it a great career of hunting and just go blast at the range for fun but I worry for him.
Again I'll say a man has a right to do as he wishes with his own land but for those of us without the means to buy a big patch of land it f'ing sucks
