Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

Well, as I expected I did get several "stove pipes" , rounds bouncing of the mount and back into the breech. I'm working on a shell deflector that will solve this issue. Other than that it worked great. I took it out once and at very close range, so no accuracy report yet. Looking forward to next Saturday.

Not mine. I wish... I believe this is from a custom gun maker.

I'm about to try a POSP scope on my 858, it's a true side mount with the scope to the side of the bore. I'm hoping I don't run into similar problems.

Your barrel shroud ( and everything else ) looks great as is, but I was thinking that if you want to make it really bad ass looking you could drill another one like a Sterling. Just an idea:)

You should be fine with Posp scope, the offset position helps a lot.

As for the shroud, I tried to get as close as I could to this rifle:

So no holes needed, but I made a shroud for Sub-2000 a while ago, and it did look pretty cool with holes.. :)

I think I found the exact thread to post in!
Last time I went to the shooting range I lost the lower hand guard pin, the one right in front of the mag, so now my hand guard has a "play" in it and doesn't shoot accurately. The only gunsmith I know in my area has no pin....any one know where to buy one?
To be in the thread, my baby, I just dust it out this summer after a couple years in the closet...it was so cheap to buy a few year ago, like 599$ or 699$....If you have any idea to make it look even nicer go ahead!

Buy a roll pin from your local hardware store.

Get rid of the plastic and the hand guard mounted red dot.

I revised my 858 this week, by ditching the Bushnell TRS-25 red-dot for Daniel Defense iron sights.
Sorry for the irrelevant AR15 in the picture...

Looks like all you need is the ar15 mag adaptor and your in business.
Wolfgang at Wolverine will do it for ya and the 10 round xcr mags make it a hoot to shoot but the mag release and the bolt release are lost so that is its only down side.
P.S. a folder would be nice to on your rig.
