So long as you like accurate, fun rifles, you'll like K31s.

A very experenced shooter told me he tried to reload for this rifle 4-5 different times trying to match the accuracy of the GP11 military rounds. So, basically the "Surplus ammo" is match grade.

I personally use this rifle for my service rifle shoots and it does very well. (Not going to brag about how well.... i will leave it as just "Very well")

Just bought one from Tradeex. The real bugger is finding the Redding K31 dies. I have them on order at Grouse River. Eta some time in November...

Meanwhile I've got brass and a couple hundred of the RCBS .30 cal silhouette bullets sized to .309.

I figure I'll start with 2400 and maybe Red Dot

There is still GP11 ammo available from the last shipment North Sylva brought in and we have a large shipment due in early 2014. So there should be lots of ammo available for the rifles for the next while.

I personally find them ugly, but the accuracy and the quality of workmanship put into a K31 is undeniable.

No need to get the K31 specific dies. I use three different die sets for the 7.5x55, Lee, RCBS and Hornady, all for the Schmidt Rubin dimensions.
Some set up for Berdan and others for Boxer.

The K31 has a shorter throat, so you really are better off with the redding K31 specific dies.
