Different people complaining about different things.

I for one was disappointed at everything regular cost with a free paperweight.

There's only one thing to do with a dewat AK. Display it……..

I really doubt these could every be reactivated. Marstar would be in a hole heap of trouble if that happened. I bought it for a wall hanger, a deactivated AK is still the closest thing to an AK I'll ever own. Oh wait, it is an AK (that doesn't do anything)!
I'll probably display it some how, in a frame or in a coffee table. I'm thinking of that other CGNer that built that SKS crate coffee table... An AK crate coffee table would be a hell of a conversation piece!

If I had the spare cash, I would have been all over this deal, even though I have all the rifles, just for the ak dewat.

sold out.... one day.... guess there is life outside of CGN after all. all the whineing about how bad a deal it is and sold out in one day, musta been the worst deal ever.......

I cannot believe the amount of childish whiners here. Underappreciate what opportunity we have been offered. Don't like the deal, don't buy, in fact don't even look.
I for one am old enough to remember the days when new firearms law and regualtions came into being here in Canada. I can't tell you how many decent businesses were crushed by this change in our hobby. Most chose to throw in the towel. The 80's and 90's were horrible to firearms owners. Marstar stood fast, took alot of personal and professional heat (including a police raid at gunpoint!!) and continued to bring in collectable and afffordable pieces to Canadians. Through all this ####, they are able STILL to provide what many Western countries' businesses cannot offer their citizens. So if John responds, kinda harsh, it's probably because he has little time for bs and shoots from the hip. Although I can't always agree with everything, in my books he has earned his right to be the way he is. And I guess I am grateful.
Spoiled brats who are so used to having tons of cheap milsurps and ammo readily available, not knowing what it is to REALLY wait for something to enter our market (like I'm talking years), are the type that complained back in the day about the $199 k98 rifles, the M1 Garand family packs, ect.
I support Canadian business, I also support those who have been good to the shooting community I feel strong ties with. Marstar has had their scars and stood the test of time. Sorry they can't please all you babies, but they please this one :) .
You have been given the opportunity to hold real pieces of history, to own and fire them. Affordably, IMO. Be grateful for that opportunity whether you buy or not. In Eastern Europe where my family come from, they would give much to enjoy what Marstar is offering in our country.

John knows the Whiney gun putz don't matter, he also knows that most of them are children and don't even have any money. Who cares?

im holding my breath that the ak cycles and goes clik , at one time i had money down on ak47 way back, but didnt want to wait so ended up with a hunting rifle... one of my mistakes wish i could undo.

amen

most of the whiners aren't old enough to remember the lean times and or the good times. Winchester garand for 99$ was one of the better ones. SIR new swed 96 rifles for 49.00$ I could go on

Very well said, I personally have not dealt with Marstar as of yet (Still new to shooting), but when im looking for my 1st. milsurp. rifle, i will probably deal with them. I support the pioneers in the game, who have been a backbone in the shooting community. Sounds like they have made sacrifices, while standing up to adversity to simply offer us what they can get their hands on, pieces of history at an affordable price. All whiners should be more appreciative, and if the current deals/combo's don't float your boat at thier advertised priced....move along, no need to #####.
