Abbotsford Fish and Game Club is proud to announce that we will be hosting the Lower Mainland/ Fraser valley's first full 3gun match. The match will consist of a minimum of# 4 multigun stages and possibly 1 pistol only stage. The event will take place on November 16, 2013.

We will be setting up the stages on Fri Nov. 15th at 5:00pm. Anyone and everyone who can make it out to give a hand, please do so. The more we get setup on Fri, the better.

Final setup will be at 8:00am sat and we will start shooting by 9:00am

We will be limiting the shoot to 32 shooters.

Approximate Round Count for the 4 multi gun stages:

90rnds Pistol
120rnds Rifle
60rnds bird/target load
2-6 slugs

There may be a pistol only stage and I may decide to throw more targets up during setup. So bring extra ammo......double would be a safe bet! :cool:

*Steel cased and/or core ammo will not be allowed as there is some rifle steel

Chamber flags for the rifle and shotgun will be required. If you don't have a flag and for some reason can't get some, I may have some for sale the day of the match.

This match will go on rain or shine. So dress appropriately!

This is our first match and is strictly for FUN!! Although scores will be posted.

This match does not require black badge certification. However, please be confident in your gun handling skills as the RO's will be watching and acting appropriately.

We will also be holding a raffle at the end of the match. We were able to get some goodies from some generous sponsors.

Match is filling up quickly, so get your registrations and payments in soon.

Also a little heads up about the match. The stages are a fairly heavy round count and keep in mind that you will need a method of carrying extra ammo on your person, whether it's carriers, mag pouches, dump pouches, vest, ect.

Each stage is roughly 30rnds rifle, 30rnds pistol and 15rnds shotgun.

Well majority of the setup was done tonight which leaves a little final setup in the morning. A huge thanks to those that made it out tonight to lend a hand. See you all in the am.
 
Match is over. I had a really great time. Sitting by the fire now trying to warm up though. All I can say is a huge thank you to Maverik and all the other folks who organized and set up the match, and stayed to the bitter end to tear down. It was ten times better than I was imagining on the drive in. Also thank you to the sponsors for their support. I will make it my mission to purchase something from all of them in the next year, as if I needed an excuse. Well done.
 
I'm glad you guys had fun. I hope everyone else did too.

This being my first time running a match of any sort, I had no idea what to expect. It seem to run rather smooth with the help and cooperation of everyone though.

To reiterate what mustangfrank said, a huge thanks to those who toughed it out to the end to help tear down and pack up the stages. You guys are awesome!

Thanks to my dedicated RO's for stepping up and helping me out with everything. You guys are a big part of why this match ran as smooth as it did.

And definitely need to thank all the sponsors for their great prize donations. Definitely was not expecting the amount of gear and gift certs that were donated. Thanks for helping out with getting this sport going locally!

Well I'm tired and sore, so time for a beer and cigar then off to bed.:cool:

Yeah well about that……Apparently my Gopro decides to crap out and not record on the match I put on. go figure.

That being said, anyone who has video of the match that they would like to share, please post it up.
