One of my first post on CGN was me talking about how I shower with my new cosmoline covered rifles to rid them of cosmoline (picked this up in the army after Machine gun ranges) and I was flammed hard and called all sorts of names and even told I was lying haha. It takes 5 min in the shower to get the Cosmoline off. Then dry it and oil and your done. And to all the fruits too scared to get your rifle wet man up! Metal doesn't rust instantly

It wouldn't be the rifle that I'd be worried about; I would think that much cosmoline down the drain is just asking for a clog down the line...
