Shorten PAL Approval Times

I got a letter in the Mail yesterday asking me to call in to give information, as it turned out they wanted to do my interview for my RPAL. I asked the lady if I could get my references to call in and she said yes.

Now I had one of them call today and either the same lady or another said that they couldn't do the interview and that they would have to wait a few days until they received their own letter in the mail to call.

I've read allot on here about references being able to call in and were successful. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Total BS.. plain and simple.. call em on it big time..

Is their a certain extension that references call?? Like I said mine were asked to wait for a letter in the mail

My references called the same number and extension I did. They only needed the same info I did when I called in for my interview. I forget exactly what that is now, but I think there's an application number or something to that effect. Hopefully you know what I'm referring to or someone else can clarify.

Same #... they just say they are a reference and quote the app # and will be xfered etc

Best way is as I did way back when.. and one of my ref's was there in the same room and I just passed the phone.. (and the other called 15min later)

So I called the Enhanced screening line which is Ext 2533 in case anyone needs it (for Interviews for RPAL), got a voicemail 2 times, so I decided to call the general Info line and got a very nice guy who told me that my references didn't need to wait for a letter as long as I had my initial interview and they should of gone ahead with the interview

Not sure what BS they are trying to pull here but Im gonna get my reference to call back tomorrow morning.

Not impressed right now

Document it all.. and send copies to all MP/MPPs etc.. as well as NFA/CSSA etc etc.. once again more evidence of the lunacy we deal with.

Just tell your references to call again. One thing I noticed was, when I first called for the interview here what I said, "Hi, I'd like to know if I could do the interview today for my application" she said "no you have to wait until next week"
I called 2 days later and said "Hi, I'm ready for my interview can we do this at this time?" I also asked if my refs could call in the the guy said "by all means" So just have them to call.

No offense guys... (or gurls)..

but this is the system designed intentionally to frustrate US.. so don't hold your breath and get into the real fight.

Yes it's BS. all that they require (which is too much) can be done in a week, If they EARNED our money from the fee. They make it take so long to discourage people from getting a licence.

I sent all the paperwork in for my Non-Restriced and Restricted on Sept. 14, 2013...it is now Dec. 4, 2013 and still nothing! All the people I took the course with have received their licenses in the mail, even though I sent my paperwork in before everyone else did! I also has my refereces call in before everyone and told them to d the same thing! This is starting to get annoying! I've called the CFO's Office in my province (Saskatchewan) and they won't tell me why it's taking so long! Has anyone else experienced lengthy wait times?

Could be a few things:
Your references said something that raised a red flag
You answered yes to one of the questions
You have a similar name and/or birthdate with someone who has a criminal record

Call the CFO office back, ask to be transferred to the CFO who was assigned your file. Leave a message and phone number you can be reached at. Do this every 2 days until they get back to you.

i am in Montreal。i only receive my certificate without result report when i pass my non restricted course。 that i send my application form without result report, is it will be a problem?

There is no such thing as a result report for non-restricted course in Quebec and I've just send the photocopy of my certificate. In my case non-restricted PAL has been issued in less than 2 month.

My Interview Done December 3rd
References Done Dec 4th
License Issued Dec 5th

Very Happy that this last Part went so well since they received my application for Restricted/ N Restricted on October 21st

Reason for delay was my credit card I used on the Form was compromised and I had to wait for a letter in the mail to call and give a new one.

Again Very Happy, Thanks again to the people on this board to the advise I recieved
