VZ 58 parts sets....

Is it normal to wait this long for an item to be shipped? I was told it would be shipped in a week 2 weeks ago. No invoice, cost of shipping, nothing...... Never ordered from Marstar before.

its longer then the other purchases i have made from marstar but i guess they do have to disassemble the parts befor they ship them.

hopefully John can comment on there shipping status? save my lazy ass a phone call lol.

OK first things first, Marstar NEVER chanrges a CC until the order is ready to leave....

second, we have been very busy, what with the combos, specials, etc, etc, we did say there would be a delay, as iI understand it we should start shipping kits this coming week

Do most gunsmiths have a hydraulic press for installation/removal of these barrels?

I have an old CZH2003 that is in need of a new barrel (It was one of the 58L lemons) and I would love to get it working reliably again. But if no one locally can do the work I would have to pass.

i have had one re-barreled. i was told you have to cut and drill out the old barrel. i would assume any real gunsmith would have a press to put the new barrel in.

There is a 4mm pin in the receiver that holds the barrel level. It needs to be pressed or punched out (only drill if necessary). If you're using the barrel in the kit, after it's pressed in you should only need to hammer the pin back in. If it doesnt go, you may need to drill the groove in the barrel again (because the headspace may be different on the new receiver).

I hope that makes sense.

Just got mine today! I asked the delivery guy if he was feeling ok seeing how it was a Sunday.
Thanks marstar!
