Beretta 92f

Yikes! You should cancel your order. You'll only get a big smile on your face after a range session. Nobody wants that. Congrats. You won't be disappointed... only the Glock boys will be, just kidding. :)

Superb firearm .
its actually so fine, in the fit and finish department, I have a hard time believing it is a fighting gun. (not because its not capable) .more because it seams so polished and refined like a entry level race gun, without the bells and whistles of course .
very accurate, reliable, easy shooting, strips down nice and easy for cleaning .
its expensive but worth it in my opinion, mags are expensive to ....

My very first 9mm pistol was an Italian Beretta 92F in a gorgeous blue finish, and two 15-shot mags (pinned of course). I've always had a thing for the Beretta 9mm....even as a small child playing "Cops&Robbers" with my friends lol, I was rockn a full-size, big, black, Beretta 9mm ;)

Also had an American stainless .40...the Beretta 96FS Inox .40 ...gorgeous pistol.

My current Beretta is an M9 commercial US M9 and is absolutely amazing....goes really nice with my Colt Government Model 01991 .45 Auto. I love the roll marks on the Beretta M9 the best though....just bad@$$ :)

Forza Italia ....such a gorgeous 9mm pistol. A true classic.

"...still have a bit of a vendetta..." It was a complete non-issue with U.S. troopies in 1985. Serving troopies knew of nothing else. The pistol was adopted for political reasons anyway. NATO countries were whining about the balance of trade in military kit between them and the U.S. So the U.S. adopted the Beretta. And promptly required it to be built Stateside. Still too big for normal sized hands.

nonsense.
10,000 rounds or more through my first one, and it doesn't miss a beat.

Great gun. I was told I'd like the CZ Shadow more, but after using them both I still prefer the Beretta.

And it's the best looking reasonably priced production gun... by a mile.

I am no expert but I heard that the 92FS is the civilian version of the military M9, modifications were made to the original 92 series to keep the slide from flying off which happened a couple of times when the military was testing them.
I recently picked up an M9 (replica commemorating the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the M9) made in the U.S. it has the same markings as the M9 and the same sights. The double action trigger takes some getting used to but in single action it is very nice.

Congrats on the 92F. Big gun if you have small hands. Make sure the slide is lightly lubed. Very low recoil , accurate, well built, oozes quality. I got mine in 1988 and still looks and shoots great. Enjoy it! I had a 92SB compact before it but wanted the M9 version. Actually wish I kept the SBC. It was blued and made in Italy, probably rare too!
