I'd like to get a weapon light but I don't think I'm prepared to drop 300$ on one. I've had flashlights from Streamlight and Pellican and they've been awesome but none of them have been 300$.

What are the options out there for something of good quality? I'm not interested in NCStar $hit but there has to be some middle ground.

Suggestions?

As well, I'm not a fan of the ones that are built into the vertical grips, just something simple with an on/off button that can attach to a 1913 rail.

$17 from china. Made out of aluminum, about 200 lumens with on and strobe mode. I haven't shot with it yet, but the mount seems pretty solid and it is plenty bright.

Another good light... I have a Streamlight TLR3 on my P226. It tolerates recoil very well.

Yes, i run 3 TLR1-s on my glocks for a few years now and have been phenomenal. I have an HL on the way cant wait! If you shop around you can find reglular TLR1's for under $100, and TLR1-s's for $125ish.

I'm partial to Elzetta lights and not just because we sell them.
They are hands down the toughest lights that anyone has ever put on a gun and they don't cost any more than you would pay for a surefire/fenix etc.
Check out this extreme torture test of a surefire and an Elzetta.
