Oh I know....I had to have one!!!

So last weekend, I ordered a shiny New M305. Sigh....

Wifey complaining the last slot in the gun cabinet is hers!!! Well, the Stoeger coach gun under the tree with her name on it should shut her up!!

Should have my M305 by Friday. Guess I'll be hanging around this forum a bit more....learning....

Also ordered a scope mount from M14.ca.

Planning on topping it with a Vortex Strikefire red Dot....

Maybe a better stock....

Crap....thought I was done with half finished gun projects!!!!!

Yep. Mine complains about a 200 $ gun beign expensive so it's a totaly different story.

It's a great platform for new owners to cut their teeth on military pattern rifles and the accompanying complete strip down and maintenance. It may, if you are not already inclined, put you in the mood for other military rifles like the AR, SKS's, SVT's, Swiss Rifle, etc. It's nice to have a firearm that is logically designed to be completely stripped for field cleaning with no tools only a cartridge.

I always like to see new M-14 owners breaking it in over the iron sights the way the rifle was originally meant to be fired, but a Vortex strikefire is a nice optic however if this be your preference.

I'm no novice to irons. Just a historical fact I am not too good with them!! Eyesight being a key reason. I'd own all kinds of black goodies if I only had more money to toss around!!

Sounds like it's time for His and Hers safes...
My wife has trouble justifying the guns, she has other activities she enjoys more, all she wants/needs is her shotgun for trap... I have everything else so when she wants to go she just raids the safe and takes what she wants to the range.
