TRG22 vs PGW Coyote

Pretty bold statement. I don't know much about the rifle to say whether this is true or not. But seems like a bold statement for anyone to claim about any rifle.

I guess you have not had the pleasure of knowing our french buddy DP opps! I mean JP ;-) The Nemisis is a world class rifle! It makes shooting at 300y feel like your shooting at 100y LOL!

I'll have to do some reading to get up to speed. I've usually been a quiet shooter, never really posted to much on here, just read the EE forums.

A fellow CGNer Tac Pro shot it yesterday with some thrown together handloads no load development 6 shots at 300m 1/2" MOA not bad eh! at 100m he shot 1/2" with factory ammo. I will post the group later as well as my group from 300m with factory ammo.

If you really want a Trg22, I suggest buying from Eurooptic.com and then make contact with the guys at Irunguns.
Thats what I did and I saved near 2 grants if not more.

I paid a TRG42 338 + Sako bipod and brake 3650$ US + 465$ (import fees, taxes, shipping).

Mush

Point to note. I have a reloading bench set up and all of the equipment for it. However Call me lazy or just got turned down from making a bad load. But I find it easier to shoot factory match grade. Obviously I know i'd get better results from reloading. But thats another topic for another thread.
In the mean time. I'm going to wait to hear from Ross from PGW and Prophet River Arms. And see what each can do for me. I really appreciate everyones input. I have talked to a couple of you through PMs and really value your input. There hasn't been too much negative things said about either rifles when it comes to performance. In the mean time. I'm going to hit up the range with my Master Sporter and will try this challenge that some ppl have mentioned.

For what it is worth, there are 3 different 308s that have completed the 1/2" at a 100 yard challenge. They are a PGW Coyote, an Alberta Tactical, and a GA Precision. I don't even remember anyone posting any attempts with a TRG, or an AI.

Hahaha!! It will happen soon, I'm getting close with my AI. So far I have shot 3 consecutive sub 1/2 MOA five round groups but not five.

The smallest group I have shot with it so far was .268"

As far as I'm aware there are only two guys that post their AI's here, cgn'er ghostie and myself. Ghostie does not handload but has shot 1/2 moa with factory ammo and I am new to precision rifles and need to practice more.

With the rifles we have we will both get on that list sooner or later. I am heading back out shooting next week.

Lazy :)
Factory match ammo is fine. At the sniper matches out here the LE teams (that pretty much always won) were shooting GMM.

I'm waiting. We need more tactical style rifles in there. I know the AI's and the TRG's are capable.

Came close with a TRG today, but it was definitely me as I knew I messed up on a few shots the moment the round left the muzzle.

Its all depends what your trying to do.
I have shot a lot out of the AI ( in the UK) the TRg both in 762 and 338 as well as the PGW guns.
For a Mil work the PGW is without a doubt the best of the bunch.
Understading its not just sub MOA that your looking for its being able to deploy that platform anywhere in the world, drag it 1/2 way across the sandbox and face shoot the F**ker with it at 1000m
If you want a bench rest gun to shoot off a table or at an ORA/DCRA match, lots of options on the market, you can even get it painted pretty colors to match you BMW or Range Rover....

I spent the last 30mins reading the thread. I couldn't NOT post about it .
In all seriousness though. That is a BEAUTIFUL looking coyote. I don't know what it is about the black, but what a difference between that and one of the standard camo ones.

Holy ####! When I saw "Factory Blacks" I thought you were going to talk about what your wife straps on at night after you've been out shooting with us;-> Viper would be more then happy to fill in for you though he likes that kind of thing almost as much as sheep! He will blab on about how he is a giver that's just a bunch of Greek big talk! At night when his wife has had enough she pulls out black beauty puts a dollop of Wipe-out and turns him inside out he's Greek so he loves it! LOL!

Ok back on track!
