Pretty excited...have a 10/22 Carbine set aside for me to pick up when I get outta camp Friday...reccomendations on the best high capacity mags ? Best place to buy from ? Thinking of 25 to 30 rounders, thanks for any info

I have a couple, an Eagle 2230 that so far works good, and the Butler Creek which are the better ones available. Try to get the ones that have the steel feed lips.

HC3R, you can take them apart to clean them! I do like and have a couple of butler creek ones, they get gummed up with the wax from the rounds and do not come apart to clean

Thats good to know, so far mine havn't gummed up. I'd assume hot water and soap should dissolve the wax if it becomes a problem.

Best mag for the 10/22 are the BX-25's, but our retarded laws have deemed them prohibited due to bureaucratic nonsense. The 2nd best would be the HC3R's

What area are you in Frank? I would go with the BC Steel Lips mags, cost ya' $30/each... Don't worry about cleaning, just spray in some action cleaner, slosh it around and drain it out, then give it a quick fog of Rem Oil and your good to go... I spray mine all flat black with Krylon... They look a lot better than the smoke color... My LGS has 20 or 30 in stock, they also have the HC3R mags and speed clips in stock.

Same on the butler creek, just bought a few for $19 each. Avoid Black Dog 25 rounders like the plague. They look exactly like butler creek ones but they fail to feed at least a few times per mag.

Tactical Innovations TI25 composite - sometimes sold by Wanstalls and Taccessories. Matte black alloy, adjustable steel feed lips and can be disassembled for cleaning.

I also use the Alangator Trimag adapters bought from HiCal with 3x factory rotaries (with little nylon belt pouches from Cabelas).

Butler Creek steel comes in 3rd on my list, yet may rise higher thanks to hoytcannon's idea of spraying them to ditch the translucent smoke look.
