Word shoot slot process past?

I'm thinking if you haven't been contacted yet, you may be on the "wait list" to see if people decline their slots. (check your spam folder if you feel you should have been contacted by now??)
Contact your section coordinator to see where you stand.

I think those that have been contacted have till the 17th to accept and pay.
After that it goes down the list.

Sean would be the guy to ask, but I believe his last comments on the subject were to the effect of don't hold your breath.
If I recall, we have 60 spots and the chances of adding to that number is likely lower than at previous world shoots.

If you haven't got a top 5 placing in your division at a recent IPSC Canada Nationals, your chances of a spot for this match are slim.

Incorrect. Top 20 for each division get a slot. I'm sitting at 21 right now.

Close but no cigar. 60 spots (perhaps 61?). 4 go to Classic, the other 56 or 57 are divided between 3 Divisions: Open, Production, Standard, with an order that I neither recall nor care about re which (Prod, Open, Std) get the odd number of slots if the total is not divisible by 3. Therefore it's the top 19 get offered a slot. But since some people undoubtedly can't go, therefore a few people outside the top 19 of those 3 Divisions that raised their hands back in the Fall saying "I'd like to go if there's a spot available" have a good shot a going.

In Alberta a call to "put up your hands" was done in November... I don't know how the other provinces organized themselves (perhaps the same way?)

If you're just poking your head up now trying to figure things out... the train has already left the station.

The 2013 ranking been posted at IPSC Canada web site for a while [1] and RD explained the slot distribution process in the latest Diligentia magazine mailed to members in December. If you see your name in top 20 or so ranking, but haven't received slot email from RD, you may need to contact your SC and check about your slot. Same goes for those members in top 30 rankings and want to be in a waiting list for slots declined by higher ranked members.

Also, USPSA will be hosting US IPSC nationals on the same stages as WS, week after the WS match. It should be much easier to get a slot at that match.

what Diligentia magazine? I, nor none of my IPSC member friends or students have received it. The only reason I knew what was going on is because I've been through it before and asked (not going by the way, at least not as a competitor). So unless BC has fallen off a map....

I haven't seen it and none of the people I shoot with have either, at least 10 members of IPSC BC, was asked last night actually.

So, your section coordinator haven't provided address labels for mailing magazine... I'll chek with Sean if we could post an electronic version to IPSC Canada web site.

Yeah supposedly it was in diligentia to contact your section coordinator to put your hand up for a spot. I haven't been recieving my diligentia either... but luckily our section coordinator sent out an e-mail. Recieved my e-mail offering a spot a few days ago.
