just received today with 1400 rnds of polish ammo thanks to TradeEx
pretty satisfied with the condition, its not perfect but looks to be in great shape ... had lots of cosmoline but now that its all gone, ill go try it out sunday

pretty new to guns, just received my pal... so im pretty excited

also have a 10/22 target stainless laminate and should receive my mossberg 500 Flex OD green next week
now i only need a club membership to go get a ruger sr1911 or a cz-75 shadow and ill be all set for a while

oh, i must confess i also bought another SKS but laminate that should arrive next week too... couldnt pass up the deal and love laminate stock

CGN is mainly responsible for my soon to be addiction!!!

Congrats!! You'll be getting a couple more most likely. You just don't know it yet. Mosins are pretty neat too. I'm sure you'll be eyeing them as well.

Personally I think the SKS is a very nice looking Firearm....perfect size and built like a tank.

I never thought I'd own one, then looked at them at canadian Tire and took a beauty home with me. Shoots great, and is cheap to have fun with. It is awaiting a bunch of upgrades and when its done I will likely buy another one to keep one in stock form.

I lost count after 10... but thankfully, I have let a few go to ease the space problem in my "hobby room".

went to the range today with the sks... fun to shoot indeed

but when i cleaned it at home i was surprise how many patches i had to use to remove all the dark stuff from the bore (around 10-12 pass)
is it normal to use so many patches and pass to have it clean after 200 rounds ?

just got my first for Xmas, only managed 75 rds due to weather, but have cleaned it twice since then and patches still come out of the barrel dirty.
fun to shoot, thats for sure. want another one, but want to put that away for my boy.
eyeballing a mosin now

If you were using corrosive surplus ammo then yes , that stuff does dirty up the Rifle quite a bit.
