3 gun in Ontario?

Most of the three gunning I do is in the US.
Been to Matches in MI, GA, Pa., WV and Ky. Heading to NM in 2014...

I'm pretty sure BRRC will be doing at least one CAS match
Its an overnighter, but if you're in S. Ont. the 3-gun at Livingston GC in Brighton Michigan is worth the price of a night in a holiday Inn... Which is 10min. from the range.

You need to download and print off a copy of the Form 6 NIA (Non-Immigrant Alien) and fax it off to the BATFE. Approval can take 2-6 weeks depending on how busy they are and the approved form is good for a year. This allows you to import the firearms into the US.
If you have restricted guns, you'll still need an ATT and registration certificates for transfer to the border and on reentry into Canada they usually want to see them. I would suggest with the loss of the LGR and no more certificates for non-restricted guns that on your first visit you fill out a form at the border before heading into the US with the serial numbers for your NR guns (I forget the name of the card, but it's green and used to confirm you took a high value item out of Canada with you rather than purchased it in the US on your visit) - makes it easier coming back into Canada if someone gets their nose out of joint.

Once you've been to the US for some matches you'll be hooked for sure!!!

Rather than stop on your way out to obtain it I suggest visiting a CBSA office prior to your trip.
I stopped in at the Hamilton airport office... Just leave your guns in the car, go in and tell them what you want.
It's no big deal... a CBSA officer came out to my truck with me and filled out the card.
Its a one time thing as the Y38 card is good for life.

All it takes is one border agent who had pee in his cornflakes that morning, and you are paying taxes on your gear you are bringing back into Canada.
Not just non-restricteds, but range finder, laptops, anything of value that they could claim you purchased in the US and are "smuggling" back.
