What pistol would you buy for a 1000.00

I currently have a glock 34 and a Beretta 96a1 but want more to add to the collection... I love the 1911 look but watched all of Hickok45 and swears by his g27... When I found out that we were able to get a subcompact I was blown away "why" I couldn't even tell you why?!?! But hearing all your great comments I'm really going to exam my picks!
 
That'd be, "I want one."? New handguns of any make or chambering don't have any collector value and likely never will. You thinking of trying to compete with a sub-compact or just play with it? A target gun it ain't, but a guy needs some toys too. That's why those of us who are old enough have things like 2 and 3 inch revolvers. No good for target shooting, but they sure are fun.
A grand isn't enough. I needed the $2500 for the pair of consecutively numbered Ruger Vaqueros Epp's had last year. sniff. I need both my kidneys.

Then there's the cost of a few mags.....for this reason I'd buy a Revolver. Besides, I hate having to mess with mags if I don't have to but that's me.
 
Seems your sold on the sub compact Glock.
Buy it, you know you want too...
Myself, given the price point would also lean towards the Shadow.
 
Cabelas show a 1911STX in stock for $1049.00. This is from SIG custom shop. For 9mm I really like the cz shadowline.

I have a Beretta 92SF in stainless and I really like that gun , but I also have several Rugers and have never had any problem with any of them......but in the end , try to get a stainless in whatever brand of handgun you choose....they look great...
