T97 Flash hider

Yes, it is removable as it is pinned. May require some heat to pull it out. I have just replaced mine with a shorter a2 birdcage, threaded 1/2 28. I'll post some pics later.

I'd love to see what that looks like. I wouldn't mind popping on a linear compensator or something that does more for redirecting the blast to make it better for hunting yotes with.

Can you post a pic or two with the A2 installed?

Who cut the thread for you and how much?

Thanks

Anyone have experience with a clamp on brake? I'm looking at possibly getting one of those. I had contacted ATRS about custom work to the T97 (with relation to the muzzle) It didn't sound promising (fiscally).

What would be the issue with cutting your own threads if you got the right die and you could cut it to a size that has commonly available muzzle brakes? Another option would be welding one on? Please no flames guys, I'm unfamiliar with the subject matter, so just throwing out some possible solutions and asking whether they'd work or not and what the risks are.

I am sorry if this has been asked before, but is there anything wrong with the original FH? Does it not work well? Is the A2 that much better?

I'd rather put a loudener on my rifle for faster followup shots. Wanna use it for action shooting, so less climb means shorter stage times.

TSE gunsmith did with some creativity involved since the barreled action would not fit their lathe, but now they know what to do give them a shout.

Where did you get the thread cutter from? I have been waiting to find one to do this to mine for a while, though I plan on getting a grizzly gun works brake
