So had a spare hour today, and decided to finally sight these guys in. First I bought some low rings to bring down the height of the scopes. Started with the 22" standard weight barrel, wearing B&L tactical 10x40mm. Took 10 shots total. Took 3 to get close and 2 more to tweek then 5 all touching. Pretty happy with this one!

Next up is my 18.5" medium weight barrel (feels more like a heavy lol) wearing leupy mk4 10x40mm. Had trouble finding paper at first with this one took 4 shots to find paper and adjusted from there top right was my final 3 shot group.

Not the greatest but I feel I could improve if I went prone with proper rests. Groups were shot from the Sitting position front rest, no rear rest, using cheap Hornady 150gr ammo.

Cheers

Goddammit! I want an M14 worse than ever now. If you're not careful those beasts will go sub-MOA!

What is an LRB? Are those guns Nork build-ups or Springfields?

Also, what do you think of those cheek pads that some of the guys are putting on them? Are they any good for off hand shooting? What kind of ammo are you feeding them?

LRB of Long Island is a top tier m14 manufacture I had both of these rifles built there and I haven't bedded them yet :) they make m14sa and m25 receivers available for your own builds if you don't want to go the route I did. I really want a coyote m1a cheek pad, there taking orders up till feb 10 according to their web site then off until summer so I better get my ass in gear.

Wait. WHAT?

I thought the only players in the game were Norinco and Springfield!! That stubby looks like it would be hell on wheels in the hunting field too. I would take it deer hunting in a heartbeat...

Beautiful guns and some nice shooting too.
What was the range ? And what was the ammo ?
Without doubt the best groups Ive ever seen.
Congratulations.

Okay, I have checked out the LRB site and I have a few questions.

a. How do you get them in Canada? Who reps them?

b. Why would you choose these guys over Springfield Armoury? (Not trying to be a dink or slag your rifles, I am asking because I am not all that well versed on M14's).

A) Armtac imports rifles, receivers and parts.

B) hammer forged milspec receivers, known quality and experienced smiths, wait time is 6-8 months because supply cannot meet demand. Their motto is forged in freedom, proven in battle. Not Chinese :nest:

Dammit...............
For the first time since I got the Norc, it looks and feels like piece of crap.
Wish I hadn't seen this thread now LOL.
I really hope you are into handloads because the 22" is going to be amazing. ( not that it isn't already )
Keep us posted.

Nice rifles! The old B&L tactical scopes are hard to find. I would love to get one to complete an M25 navy clone.
