Hey guys, i bought a new savage 10 FLCP-K in .223, its an absolute blast to shoot, but i find the stock to small for my face, i've looked at the tac pro adjustable cheek rests, but i wanna know if anybody has any experience with em or if they have anything else to suggest. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

I really like mine, locks up tight and feels sturdy. I put one on my 30-06 hunting rifle, we'll see how it holds up in the field rather than on a bench, but I don't think it should have a problem staying in place.

They're fine. I have one on my Savage 12, same as in post #2 above. I just bought the do-it-yourself kit for my new LEO special, shipped and taxed at $33. You just have to heat the Kydex sheet to 350 degrees F for a minute or so and press it over the stock for a perfect fit.

I just received my Savage 10TR today and I was debating either going with the narrow version or the DIY.
I have one on my M305 and absolutely love it.

tape, card board and foam tastefully covered up??? lol, that what I did on mine at Milcun to get it to fit better, I had a seal tactical cheek bag already, so it covered up the messy looking DIY stuff and is crazy comfortable, so I left it.

I just installed the do it yourself kit from TacPro yesterday on a M305. Total cost $32, installation took about 30 minutes. I just heated up the kydex with a heat gun for about 2 minutes and it formed perfectly to the stock. Drilled some holes and its rock solid and adjustable to different scope heights.

I installed a Tac Pro on my 700 a few weeks ago and like it. I got it from SFRC, it's good quality and was easy to install. I'd recommend it.

There are tons of cheek risers you just need to figues what look you want, I went with a 10$ sleeping mat from canadian tire and some duct tape. Cut it in strips and enjoy, although that method is obviously not adjustable so anyone shooting your rifle better have the same face as you lol.

nice lookin savage ReVoR! could you guys point me in a direction for a slip on cheek rest, dont know if im to keen on drilling holes into my stock. debating it though!

Thanks! Drilling wasn't that bad...though this is the 4th time I've installed one (once on my 10/22, once on my Mark II and I also have the special version on my M305). You can clamp the riser in place but I was so used to installing them that I just taped mine on and went to work. If you do decide to drill yours mark the holes and start with a small bit then go bigger. The plastic is incredibly soft and cuts like butter. The stock is filled with white poly insulation but other than making a bit of a mess doesn't cause any other issues.
