Well to anyone that thinks tweeting is for twits, think again. Politicians and the general public are reading these tweets against us relatively unopposed. This is exactly why some of CGN members tweet and why more of us should be. Just about everyone of our local MPs has an account, as well as the media and it reporters.

Read this tweet, and tell me if we should just ignore it?

Isn't celebrating the highest standards of martial training the original reason for the Olympics? It seems to me that skiing from place to place and shooting at targets along the way is not a hunting method - unless it's of men.
 
I don't do or get the twitter thing, but I have to ask if the message in question is actually from the Mothercorp, or someone on their account? If from the Ceeb itself, then definitely inappropriate and should be brought to an onbudsman's attention...not that that would really matter against the Teflon suit that covers the Ceeb, but still...
 
I tried to link it by embeding it. That was the best I could do. The NFA posted it on their facebook site, thats where I got it. The CBC tweeted it around six pm, so scroll down 11 or 12 hrs to find it. It has not been deleted. If any of you more tech savvy CGNrs out there can link it up, please do so?
 
Fracking CBC. Why are they still around wasting tax payers money if they're going to be biased towards the Libs?

I couldn't find the original CBC tweet (I don't use twitter so I could be searching the wrong places) but did find retweets (is that the term) from a bunch of idiots.

The CBC must have deleted it. But I have posted the image a few times in tweets already, and will make a few more tweets with it later today. Might I suggest that you learn to tweet? It will give you direct or near direct access to your local MP and MPP, as well as the ability to politely dispute tweets by antis. This is a great way to let those on the fence know who we really are.

lol. oh, I dont know. that method of hunting would serve well in the arctic regions, or Switzerland, or anywhere with dense bush with lots of snow. But, sure, hunting men is a sport, isnt it?

The original name for biathlon was "military patrol" and it was shot with centrefire rifles.
 
i usta go skiing and take a 22 for the occasional rabbit ... maybe thats assassin training aswell ????

leftwing CBC = FAIL the only assassins around are them... how they butcher and assassinate the news !!
 
Thousands of people like me and you go to the range on a daily basis practicing target shooting.
I guess we are all snipers in training and knowing how to shoot a gun makes you a potential assassin.
 
Strictly speaking, the words used in the quote are correct. It is the closest thing.

Men's downhill is the closest thing to speeding.
Slalom is the closest thing to running from the cops.
Two man Luge is the closest thing to... well you get the picture!

The original tweet was simply facile and irrelevant to anyone with half a brain.

The funny thing is, can you imagine in this day and age, the reaction to anyone suggesting such an Olympic event if it did not already exist.
Anyone propose Deer hunting for the Summer Olympics?
 
Come to think of it, now I know why Darts was never considered for an Olympic sport ;)
