Anybody elso done the glock grip reduction and silicon carbide grip?

hey nutters,
after much thought I have decided to change up the grip on my glock 17, it is slowly changing into a 'race gun'. Today I did the double under cut and sanded off the factory texture, tommorow I will do the epoxy/SiC treatment. will post pics as they come available.
 
Interesting, I assume this mod is mostly for the smaller grip and not weight reduction.

Are you going to add those legs to it somehow?
 
Really interesting work ! I've been messing around with different types of grip tape (skateboard tape) and making grips. This is something I would've never thought of but I highly doubt I'd have the balls to do to one of my guns. Why did you cut the holes?

I'm very interested to see how it turns out for you.

Im not sure what you mean by legs, But it wasnt weight reduction, LOL. as for grip the only real improvement I noticed was the under cutting the trigger guard to move my index finger higher.
 


almost done, need my barrel back fro the machinist, he is fluting and porting the barrel. then gotta send the slide for machining and refinish, Maybe FDE or dark blue armacoat.....opinions???
