The Meron

The MERON is an update of the TAVOR 5.56 mm rifle with new ergonomics. For example the butt stock is adjustable in height and length, the for grip is on an axes of 45° for a better handling in urban environments and on short distances. The weapon can be used by left/right hander equally. And it has an integrated bipod.

I believe this was only a concept design by Tamir Porat, the designer of the current Tavor.

But then again I could be wrong and it looks neat no matter what.

If this is a real thing, maybe it'll drop the price of the Tavor down into my bracket...and then I'll buy a Meron anyways.

Appears the P90 was the inspiration for the new ergonomics. Looks like the forward guard unhinged to form the bipod. I suspect this version would be the handiest one to date. The PS90 is one of my favourites for unsuported shooting. That being said I don't see it replacing the regular version as an infantry rifle. I would suspect using it as a regular rifle it wouldn't be as good. More of a CQB style to improve upon the X95 aka micro Tavor. But even then the X95 might be preferable.

I feel like something that looks like that should have a magazine of 200 case-less rounds... and vent steam after full auto fire....
