2014 Member Sakatchewan Gopher Shoot Invitational.

So this will be my first year at the shoot and I'm driving out from between Kingston and Ottawa ontario so it's a long drive if I forget anything, so is there anything you guys have forgotten or not brought in the past years that you would not be without again? Besides the obvious things like guns and ammo.. Lol
 
Wow. That's a long drive. I thought the drive from Winnipeg was long.

The only thing you absolutely want to make sure you have is your guns, ammo and related equipment. Most anything else can be bought within a 30-60 minute drive or you can usually beg, borrow or steal anything you might need around camp. Bring sun screen and rain gear. You'll be needing both, usually several times in the same day.
 
One of these years I'm going to make it, but time off work hasn't worked out so far. I used to live in Regina, Edmonton and Calgary, and a visit west is long over due.

My vacation request was denied....so to be honest I am not sure I will even make it this year....sigh. If I do, it'll be just a quick overnight and gone again....
 
So to show my dedication to the trip I figured it would be a good excuse to go buy another rifle to use as my rimfire option, so I found a very good local deal on a savage .17 hmr heavy barrel! Can't wait to try it out! (Any excuse will do when it comes to buying new firearms)

You'll enjoy it.. pretty much perfect for gophers... though I seem to use my 223 more now.

LOL, nothing wrong with that... I usually have 4 or 5, or more with me.. make sure you have a shotgun of some sort.. lol.. a few boxes of clays sometimes get shot up too
 
Can you add me + 1 for sure please. I am very excited to attend given the opportunity. What are the guidelines regarding ATV's? Do guys bring em, are they allowed, etc?
