I'm new here although have been browsing for some time. If I am looking into a Rem or Savage build. What options are there for stocks. I'm looking for more tacticool type stocks like the MDT Tac 21 or the cadex. Anymore similar looking options?

Welcome. Check out XLR industries and Accuracy international. Both make a fine rifle chassi for the Rem and the Savage. I, myself own a XLR chassi and love it.

There is also the AWT chassis, a company by the name of spartan brings them in out of alberta. So there might be a wait. By tacticool, do you man covered in rails? It's the same thing I'm going for with my rifle, and after long searching have decided to go with the cadex chassis there's a thread in this forum about that. A lot of the new AI chassis also have some great options for attaching rails for whatever reason, all depends on your budget I guess.

For what ever reason is correct LOL I know I have zero use for the rails and there are totally aesthetic. Realistically a military sniper rifle is a standard A5 stock, but in my mind its a 45lb metal chasis with rails everywhere, then some more rails on top of those LOL they just look awesome is all. Eh if I'm gonna spend the money I want what I want.

I totally agree! I have no need for rails on a bolt gun, except maybe night when I can afford it in a year or two, or more. But it's like you said, spend your money on what you want. There are also some great options for attaching rails/bedding them in to a traditional stock, but you need to get something with a wide enough fore-end. I mounted a back up red dot on my savage :) Although it's on an offset mount I will post pictures tonight. Been meaning to get around to it anyways. Good look with whichever you decide to get man sometimes they can be hard to get a hold of and hard to get working properly (bedding, etc.)

My vote, the Cadex. I had an XLR stock and the MDT and have held a cadex. There is no comparison in quality, cadex is way ahead. I just ordered a cadex field strike in tan for a rem 700 even though I am a savage guy, I wanted to try something different.........

I have a lot of savage rifles and lots of them are all single shot with laminate stock target rifles. But i do really like my savage 10BA and I also really like tacticallooking rifles as well.

XLR

wish I had a better pic of my 10BA

Would recommend one of the newer line of cadex chassis or accuracy international.

Issue with the Tac 21 is that you cant take the bolt out without taking the butt off it. You could always look at the MDT LSS but dont think that that fits what your looking for.

This is not really an issue. It is a matter of flipping a leaver and pulling off the stock. Takes maybe 2 seconds. I have been shooting a tac for about 6 months and love it. My scores in ORA precision went up by about 10% over my choate stock. The two things I like most about the tac is the way it recoils strait back and you can pick your butt stock and grip.

Competition Machine Tube Stock

Not sure if this fits your vision, but I want to show it off anyway. It's a tube stock from Competition Machine (www.gotxring.com) in the US, so you'd have to have it imported (Prophet River). The adjustable bipod is optional, and has two types of feet available, lots of room for rails on the hand guard if you want, takes AICS type mags, the rail is sloped at 20MOA, and is adjustable for windage. You add the AR style butt stock of your choice.

As you can see, the factory receiver slides into the tube stock with a slight interference fit. Then there is a combination of 4 set screws and your choice of filling the voids with epoxy (semi permanent) or machining the barrel to accept a supplied recoil ring ($). Beautiful machining, but on the expensive side; it cost about $1000 to my door, plus the butt stock.
