Norinco 50BMG make it happen Canam? increase the numbers while we still can .

Anyone thinking it would be under $2k is crazy. Look at the cost of a Type 88 first...

the type 88 was brought in canada in a pretty small volume I believe under 10 rifles.
If Can am brought in say 100 or 200 rifles I think pricing may be closer to 2000 but thats just a guess. Although I believe can am and or another importer is quoted as saying .50 cal norcs are not cheap.

true enough how ever the type 88 is a bullpup semi. Something like the BFG-50 (a barrel with a bolt on it) can't cost to much to produce

This thread is hilarious.
Anyone, especially those asking for a bullpup, who wants to spend as little as is possible to separate their face from 200+ grains of kaboom needs to have some sense backhanded into them.

lol, true true Goose762 ... if the point is just to have a 50, for the sake of a future grandfather status, give me a cloned bfg-50 with half a barrel and a broken firing pin for $150. If you're going to spend $2k on one, you might as well spend $4k and be happy with the result. (If it did come to market IMO $900 for the BFG would be tops, and $1500ish for the m99b)

Honestly I would be happier if they imported some cheap .50bmg ammo. The biggest concern I have with the .50 is the availabilty of ammo.

I am scared that even if I did take the plunge and buy one I would be stuck with a huge (and super cool) paperweight. If there was some cheap plinking grade ball ammo always available it would be a different story.

There is a lot of ammo now.

ATRS and SFRC have XM33 in stocks at a very good price under 50$ box of 20.
