Hi - looking for recommendations on a good cleaner for a stainless revolver, especially around the cylinder face. Just saw a review on the M-pro 7 which looks great, doesn't appear to be readily available in Canada though.

Any advice much appreciated.

+1 The best solution I've found, I cut strips of it for the hard to reach areas and place them on a wooden stick to get into the small corners

My only concern with this is that it'll polish the steel to a shine, I've used something similar before on a brushed steel watch and it done exactly that. Do you tape off the cylinder at all so only the cylinder face is exposed?

If you've got a brushed stainless revolver you can use a dish scrub pad (the name is slipping my mind right now)

I use one of these, cut down to smaller sizes with some hoppes 9 and it keeps the end of my cylindr clean and is extremely economical.

Thanks for all the advice guys, went with the ceramic cleaner as that's what I had, took seconds to get to this! So much easier than scrubbing with Hoppes & CLP!

3M Scotchbrite is what this stuff is called. As long as you use the ultra fine grey pads you'll be ok. Flitz is what I use on a stainless brushed finish gun. As long as you don't polish it too much or put too much pressure on it, the brushed finish will not come off or polish shinier than the original finish.
