For a couples months now i had my famous Steyr Mannlicher Prohunter Big Bore 450 Marlin on the EE, this rifle did not spark much interest among our crowd but it was there, now one month ago i did send an inquiery to know if many 450 Marlin were made by Steyr Mannlicher... Today i got my answer only 200 were made in 2002 and 2003 all togheter.... Did not take long to remove from the EE, this rifle as per this gentleman is all ready a collectebable even if it is brand new... Lucky me, this is pretty good news... JP.

Famous to me, the English language is so much less explicative than the french language... Guess that why women cant resist a little bit of roucoulement Français... And the only absorbed i know is call absorball and is on my garage floor... JP.

I know my wife gets a headache if she hears the French language. Almost as bad as the headache that I get from reading your posts.

One evening talking to your wife in french, drinking some french dry red wine from my estate in France, and she will never be the same... As for your headache, i cant do nothing... JP.

Wow, we don't see too many threads started for the sole reason of someone wanting to tell everyone else how cool they are. Do you ever feel you have self confidence issues or is it more of a french thing?

I do have self confidence but not more than anybody esle, i think the primary thing here is to share with the interrested members a good new, if i remember correctly, this is a gun forum so, anything related to that should make the cut...
The french thing could be that when i write to you here, it is always a french idea translated to English...
The English language is a pratical one as many words have the same meaning, on the other side the complexity of french language sometimes make for funny or bragging kind of sentences... I am living on this forum a total English immersion program so an error once in a while is possible...
You could be fluently and totally biligual, your origin will still prevail in your communications... JP.

Well, then thank you for sharing with us how cool and rare your rifle is, and taking the time to explain it in our un complex english.

The rifle is unique in it's style ( bolt action and it's a Steyr Mannlicher), this is a top shelve rifle maker... Demand will dictate te price, it is a little bit like when i bought both my Browning BLR in 257 Robert and 358 Win, i was told they were very rare and both were brand new and kept unfired... I like rifle, when they are special i like them a lot... JP.

Very nice gun - thanks for the interesting info on that unusual rifle. If they hadn't messed with the belt dimensions a lot more of us would be warmed up to the 450 Marlin I think - those of us that revere the 2" 458 American.

hah, you're right, my family is German speaking and at times it's noticeable that we're very direct and to the point. bordering on the point of being impatient or uncompassionate.

edit: btw, nice gun.

It's a pride and enthusiasm thing (nothing wrong with a bit of that). my wife is from Sainte Adolfe, Quebec and the culture there is definitely more dramatic compared to Swift Current, Saskatchewan. LOL.
