Who has the coolest SKS. Post pics.

Really? He sells them through the EE, surprised you haven't seen them listed b4. I offered $450 on a $500 asking price last year, he turned me down..! lol....Still hymmmin' & hawwwin over one.

Cheerz .. ~

that is the most bling SKS I have ever seen! its awesome!!!

Not an original Honor Guard model silly.{ultra rare/near impossible to find} He does the work himself & sells them for pretty decent prices... is a real beauty. May have to pull the trigger on one!

Was this chromed or is this a Chinese honour guard model as I have seen the odd one for sale online
I have also seen the odd Polish honour guard model a lil different but nice like this as well.

Those are cool.... does it shoot.... I imagine after chroming only adds thickness and changes the tolerances!
It shoots great, the nickel plating adds the thickness and I only nickel those parts, where increased thickness would not be a problem(bayonet, magazine, etc.) and the rest of the parts are polished, buffed and chromed, which doesn't increase the thickness.

That FN impressive boss!
Care to share what steps were taken to create this masterpiece?
I start off by taking everything apart, then I bead-blast, polish, buff and then nickel and/or chrome plate. I work part time at an electroplating shop, it took me about 20 hours to make the sks look like that. It actually looks much better in person, then in the pictures because of the reflection.

The chrome looks great. typically wouldn't be my 'thing' but I'd hit that. wha-chicka wow-wow.
I'd like to see a version with a laminate stock.

here is my coolest, no Bling but rare :)

One I just finished. I blued the bolt carrier and removed the chrome on the bayo and blued it, and cleaned up the butt plate, blued it and refinished the stock. Oh and installed perforated metal handguard...

RN870:

I had a few spare FN FAL flash hiders, they are threaded; I had this SKS with hacksawed barrel :( so, I ask a buddy of mine (another CGN member) to thread that muzzle for me and install the flash hider :)

Unissued, non-refurbished, unfired 1953 Izhevsk SKS... :)
