Hi,

Where can you buy accessories (mods) for this gun? I've been searching on and on but seem to find nothing. Please advice.

Thanks

Got one too.
Couple of hundred rounds thru, zero problems.
Never thought about dressing it up...........until I saw these pics...More expense :)

OP, search on 'Hatsan' in the Black Shotguns Forum. There are lots of threads on these guns with information, modifications and pictures to keep you reading for a while.

I recently picked up a Hatsan semi and pump - haven't gotten to the range yet, but these guns are well built and feature full for the price. They're a great deal if you ask me.

Ati makes an aftermarket 6 position stock ... using the shims supplied by Hatsan you can maintain the factory stock angle.

These guns have had a longer run in the UK (in bulk ) than Canada so do not forget the UK as a source for parts

This is a licenced copy of the Fabarm .. Fabarm is a copy of an HK shot gun, so expand your searches when seeking say a pistol grip stock or other accessories.

After market mag guide remington 870 fits.

Remember this is a semi-auto, you will find lots of posts re Hatsan plus two mag extenders, but you will be prohibited if you go any larger than " one" on this semi-auto. These posts are for the pump

Posts will say that the o-ring is like the 1100 .. the rings brownell sells are half as thick for the 1100, you get two extra o-rings in the box, but if like me and two extra is not going to fit well into your idea of best future prep, there is a gun shop in the UK selling OEM rings on eBay. I have read many posts on the web, they vary from 1000 rounds on an original ring to just a few, but they are rubber and can be affected by solvents, so the odd short round count post I have dismissed as user error ..

Some posts on you tube re assembly will have you putting the o-ring in the wrong place, reducing the unit to a club on light loads

I use a lee slug 1oz , had to move to 19gr of red dot from 18 in my 590 to get a recycle I could count on ( look up your own load data ) This is with a Winchester trap hull reloads ..crimped or rounded over.

You will need a rail extention ( coming to the back ) to attach a forend vertical grip .. I am 6'2" with long arms, so finding a thin rail extention is pricy. I could easily reach, but was not comfortable. Not every one wants or sees a need for a vertical forend grip.

I really like this unit .. my ATI stock combined with 1200FPS reloads, and a gas system, mean I can shoot this unit all day .. that is exactly what I wanted .. being an out of shape old fart my sholder continues to love me.

PM if you have a Question ...

I purchased the semi-auto w/ telescopic butt stock for approx $540. Best bang for my buck yet. I have never been happier with a shotgun. It came with all the gear I wanted. Ghost ring with the fiber optic sights work well in low light light conditions. Picatinny rail is solid on the top. End of the barrel is already threaded for easily swapping out muzzle brakes. Break's down quick without any tools for cleaning.

I regularly shoot 2 3/4 or 3 inch slugs without any issues. Only problems I have had so far was when shooting 2 3/4 target loads. Had a couple fail to eject but I am going to blame that on the inconsistency of the target loads.

My two complaints would be the picatinny rail at the front. It sits behind the sling so if you wanted to mount a flashlight it would need to be offset, and the rail doesn't extend far enough back to be useful for a foregrip. The second complaint is the rear aperture sight has a bit of play in it, at least in mine anyway. Wasn't much of a problem for me as I quickly installed a red dot sight.

If you wanted a tac-shotty out of the box for a great price I would definitely recommend the hatsan. However, remember to purchase a recoil pad as the rubber butt on it has caused many broken blood vessels in my shoulder. Any questions regarding the semi-auto telescopic version you're more than welcome to pm me.

I second the new/added recoil pad suggestion.

Another small complaint is the rear sling mount. Its not that great of quality, and seems to only accommodate thin nylon variants. My Blackhawk! clip is too big for it, so I attached a 10lb S-Biner. Too big for the front too.

I bought one last year.. Have about 200 rounds of various type. Love it, great gun, well built, great value for package for only $500! Just make sure you go with higher velocity rounds as lower ones such as what you get with the bulk shotgun shells will not cycle in this semi.

Not entirely true
I have thousands of target rounds through mine. Keep it clean and oiled and it will run everything
Polish the outside of the mag tube. 100% reliability since then

Did it ever choke on them?

Tried a new one the other day (Escort) and despite oil it wouldn't cycle cheap target shells reliably.

nothing but good things to say about my optima. its a pump but non the less I have had zero issues and tons of fun with roughtly 500 rounds down the tube. only complaint is the sling setup. best shotgun I have ever owned!

Any idea on if there is a conventional stock for these? Not looking for hardwood, just something more conventional, since it's what I'm used to.

Regular stocks and some screw in chokes would seem like a no brainer...... I wonder who's in charge of importing these Turkey shooters?

At first it did! Needed breaking in! Just to be anal I polished the mag tube where the gas piston rides aswell. It runs perfectly now!
