What truly obsolete chambering would you like to see make a comeback?

25 REMINGTON!

I've got a Stevens 425 here that's real hungry and nothing to feed it.

Found a member with some 25 Rem ammo and another 425 Stevens last fall and me being the smart fella I am deleted the p.m. by accident and now I'll never find it again. Hopefully he reads this thread!

I would like to see all of em made. I still find some 250 savage here and there, so I wouldn't really consider it obsolete. But it wod be great to get some 25 rimfire. I would trade a box of 22 rf auto for a box of 25 rimfire. I like the 25 Stevens long too.

I would actually like to see someof the more popular rimfires redone, like the 44 rimfire and the 32 rimfire. 44 rimfire i am sure there would be a market out there.

.476 Westley Richards. ;)

I remember as a kid reading a article by Elmer Keith.
He had a blanket laid out with 10-12 of his double rifles on it.

It may have been the same article, he had shot either a rhino or hippo with his .476 and there was a bird standing on the back of the animal.
The concussion of the bullet had killed the bird. The pic was Elmer, his double rifle, a dead hippo/rhino, and said bird in his hand.

It impressed the hell out of me back then. :)

With the resurgence of the not obsolete, though certainly in recent times waning, .450-400 3", .404 Jeffery, .450 Nitro, and even new chamberings of the .250 Savage (for most of those listed, thanks Ruger and Hornady) what would you like to see next?

I'm particularly intrigued by the .318 Westley Richards, actually in the process of having custom tooling made for my favourite barrel maker to do up a couple barrels therefor, but that'll be another thread. So that's my pick, the .318 with it's heavy for caliber .330" bullet is just a .338-06 with more class and history in my eyes. The #2 curiousity for me has recently become 6mm Lee Navy, might be my next oddball foray. .350 Rigby Mag would likely be my #3.

Your pick? .219 Zipper? .303 Savage? .30 Newton? .350 Rigby Mag?

.30 Newton would be cool. Perhaps Cooper could make a run of them in a deluxe model? :stirthepot2:
