^ we lost our spot in Ottawa because people were shooting up couches, stoves, TV, and leaving all manner of crap behind. Area is now closed for target / clay shooting. Hunting still permitted.

It is a little know fact that electronics become 100% biodegradable once blasted to millions of pieces with some hot lead.

I am also very interested to tag along with someone who wants some company( I am a very very new shooter), to try an area where I can shoot 300meters+ Within 2 hours of Toronto. I've taken a few drives north west of Toronto, but haven't found anything yet. Hours of Google maps didn't do anything either

Or if anyone knows or lives on a private land with, please let me know. I am sure a few members here live on large farms. I'd clean up and perhaps even offer a small donation upon each visit.

    Hi everyone,

I have been searching the atlas and I believe I might have found an ideal spot to shoot near buckhorn Ontario. I was just wondering are there any other rules or regulations for plinking on crown land other than the town bylaws? Calibre, targets, backdrop, etc. I do not have my hunting license yet...Is that a concern?

Also I wondering if anyone knows a safe location near either buckhorn or near durham region (two hours max). I am nervous as this will be my first time heading to a location on crown land without any local tips.

    Cheers,

    Stone.

It's interesting...I found crown land around Newcastle, ON and called their local police department to find out any information, even though I knew what they will say, considering it's proximity to the town and trails. I was told that I cannot discharge any firearm on ANY crown land. When I asked if there's a specific law that says so and the officer could not say there's a law that she was aware of. Then said that once they would receive a complaint, they would come in and they would either escort me from the property or likely charged me with unsafe discharge of a firearm in public.

Basically though, if you can ensure safety for others and there aren't any bylaws against it then you should be safe to do so.
