Since Troy has the capacity to make magazines, it is not an impossible and unprofibable task to make a pump action magazine for this rifle that cannot be used in other AR15s. The magazine can be made oversized or with a stud, such that it cannot be inserted into a standard AR15 magazine well.

Did they mention of this thing can be slam-fired like an Ithaca or Winchester? CuZ that might be fun...

And again, for the folks thinking this rifle will be under $1,000 keep dreaming. Troy iron sights alone can run into the $300 range. Add $450 to that for quality AR furniture. So before you factor in the rifle itself the retail on the accessories could be $750.

If it does come in cheap these will sell like crazy (if NR). Back ordered for years I imagine.

Troy makes quality stuff and I'd pay good money for quality.

Surprisingly this rifle appeals to me.... proprietary magazines might be stretch considering Canada's small share of the market. Let alone the issue of classification.

Yea. They could easily out sell Remington's 7615 at that price.

No way it will be under $600 the way it is configured now. Maybe if it came without sights and a more basic stock. Troy charges $150 for the most basic rail they sell, the sights are over $200 for a set not to mention they will want to make back some of the money from R&D. It isn't like an AR where the tooling and plans are available and they can outsource production of parts to companies that already make them. Most of the stuff is proprietary (although some of it not much that different then an ar-15) the way it looks now except for the grip, trigger group and maybe the barrel.

Ok, $600-$800 this would sell very well, especially with a troy rail, sights, etc.
10 rnd LAR mags in a pump NR rifle, Great for plinking, hunting, range fun, etc.
If this is accurate, reliable, and NR, I think it would do well.

I am assuming of course that it would have an 18.5" barrel for Canada.
But an accurate pump .223 NR rifle for under $800. would be a lot of fun. especially with 10 round magazines.

Any more than $800.... I will likely not buy it.
