I am happy to see that someone is pursuing this. Tannerite per se, is not illegal after speaking with the Ministry of Mining and Energy. I understand that it simply was never applied for. Tannerite is a binary explosive, neither of which components are illegal to buy or possess. Mixing the ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder gives you tannerite. It will be interesting to see how this pans out. I WILL buy some. Probably a steady supply each summer. Reactive targets are excellent and way better than having to walk 600 metres to see if you hit a bull or not. On a side note, there are other reactive materials out there available commercially, some even safer and more effective than tannerite, but who knows how the laws are written for those.Originally Posted by pattmcgroin555
