I would be afraid to use (abuse) that like my other norcs..... very nice.

Are these Norc's fixer-uppers like most other Norc's, or are they in better condition/better fit (indexing, tightness, etc)

+1 on that, hard to justify the price if you still end up with some of those known Norc quality controll issues. Beautiful stock though.

Pretty nice look. But Norinco has to improve seriously its QC. If so, it would be a no brainer. But with all the common known issues, it is like a "ferrari paint on a Lada"...

Most issues easy to fix. Peen the barrel where the oprod guide is affixed (free) and loctite it, New spring and USGI or NM spring $50, Check head-space, only cost of stamps and an envelope to send 3 pieces of brass to Tactical Teacher/Barney $5 including ammo. Check for barrel index using stickies on CGN (FREE). If out of spec, try and take in a clinic where you can learn to correct and correct while you are there. All in all about $55. Much more can be done, as I have on mine, replacing flash hider with USGI, Replacement of front and rear sights with USGI. New stock will be between 150-250 or so for a Boyds/USGI. The difference, doing it yourself you learn about the platform, and learn to LOVE IT for what it is. Either way you will be doing some tweaking, or bitching about how its a sh*tty shooter. Either way, have fun fellas!!!
