Post Replacement Tavor Barrels: Guage of Interest

This post will be a guage of interest in replacement barrels for the Tavor.

I have talked to Jon about barrel pricing, lengths, availability and who is allowed to install them. Here is his answers.

Price: approximately $450-$500 subject to change (was a guestemation by Jon)

Lengths: both NR and CTAR could be made available.

Availability: IWI would need a run of at least 100 barrels for it to be worth while for IWI and North Sylva. NS also doesn't want their money tied up in inventory. Jon said he thinks replacement barrels will probably come some time next year.

Who can change the barrels: NR barrels can be changed by you or Jon. CTAR barrels must be installed by Jon to insure that the rifle gets properly registered.

I'm in for both. I think there's still a 300BLK project to be done!

What about a heavy barrel option, or would that complicate the refit?

That is a good question, one best asked to Jon. I dought it can be done as I don't think IWI produces heavy barrels for the Tavor. That might be HERRON arms thing.

The results are not skewed, it is made so you can mark yourself down for more than 1 selection. The key here is to look at the number of votes, not the %

Pre-order list please. One of those things we might else well pick it up now while we can. I don't want to bother in 5 years trying to source one. Lets make this happen.

What if you don't want to install it? you can buy the NR but not the R even if you have a R license?
