So essentially they need the original blueprints, like these from an M1 Garand? (Btw, mad respect to the people at Norinco who had to reverse engineer this kind of stuff for the M14's.)
I know it's not this simple, but if Armalite still has ownership of the drawings, why doesn't someone just ask if they'd license them?
