Not nearly enough weight to have the effect of a Shadow or the tanfo stock series. More aesthetics than anything else me think.

How could that statement possibly have any weight (pun intended) having not seen or held this firearm? Both the firearms you mentioned are the exact same with a full length dust cover, how are they any different?

The tanfos and CZ's are actually weighted up front. Thats part of their design being a SLIDE in FRAME design. minimal weight in the slide (moving parts) With most of the weight up front to mitigate recoil.

The Sig LDC, being a FRAME in SLIDE style firearm still maintains most of its mass in the moving parts while the dust cover is merely a little bit more of an alloy frame. Owning both a 226 and a tanfo stock 3, I can tell you that even if I tape a weight to the front of my Sig it will not preform on the level of a SLIDE in FRAME firearm. They are vastly superior for recoil mitigation.

Dont get me wrong, I love my 226, but they are a different breed entirely.

Canadian MSRP?

Barring any more currency fluctuations, the CDN MSRP should be around $1775.

Will they be doing a p229 version of it?

Highly unlikely.

What's the advantage I don't get it ?

Well, I just found my first pistol.
Wonder if there will be one in 10mm.

9x19 and 9x21 only.

Is there even a holster that will fit this?

Yes; Sig produces a holster for this pistol. Probably safe to assume that Bladetech will as well, based on the expected popularity of this 226.

Not nearly enough weight to have the effect of a Shadow or the tanfo stock series. More aesthetics than anything else me think. Slide in frame design will always win in comparison to frame in slide for recoil management.

A standard 226 weighs 2.125 LBS.
The CZ Shadow Target weighs 2.4 LBS
The 226 LDC weighs 2.71 LBS; the all steel frame makes up the extra weight.
