Is the receiver redesigned, so it can't be converted into full-auto in anyway?
Converted TO full auto wasn't the problem. Converted FROM full auto was. According to the RCMP.

What makes the Hunter better suited to this task than the tactical model? I'm not seeing much difference besides the lack of a fixed front sight and the different stock.

You guys need to educate yourselves.

Newly designed VZ58 rifle to meet RCMP specs to the letter. New semi-auto receiver w/rail and will accept vz58 accessories and mags which are plentiful. Please don't buy one and leave them for us who understand this

Because it's called The Hunter, therefore it has to be better at the task.

I see no flaw with that logic. Thanks.

ON serious note though I think that the idea is that without the front sight base etc, it looks a little more like the Valmet Hunter style, a little less tactical etc.

I just hope you guys do decide on still using the rear iron sight on the tactical. If the rail interferes with the rear sight the just cut a radius line down the Centre of the rail.

Hey Grumpy, any word as to why the receiver is milled out above the trigger?

That makes it impossible to retro fit FA parts, assuming a person could find or make them. A person would have to mill out the internal receiver to have space to fit the parts and when that is attempted the mill would break through the receiver and render it useless! The ease of conversion to FA is a consideration with all new imports.
