Agreed this is a very nice option for the 858, what about CSA 58 and .223

So after much delay and 2 attempts by Green Mountain to ship us the 7.62 blanks they are finally on their way. Apparently someone at Fed-Ex in the US didn't think they should be exporting barrells despite State Dept. approval...haters.

They cost of re-barrelling will start at $550 for a basic job. This includes us removing the old barrel on a milling machine, not an easy job, and then into the CNC to cut threads in the receiver. Once that's done we will install a new stainless Green Mountain barrel and headspace it. If you want the Deluxe job it includes us stripping the coating from the receiver after the new barrel is installed and sending it out to be ceracoated in your choice of colour. This will add approx. $200 to the price of the job depending on the amount of units we send out at a time to be coated and the going rate for the coating.

There are NO plans to do this mod in any caliber other than 7.62 x 39.

I'm going to express interest in a 6.5 Grendel barrel.

Oh, and what about different barrel profiles? Eg. thicker

Been wanting to have a vz 58 for a while now. This makes it even more of a want! Stainless barrel would be nice for the 7.62x39. Was more after a 223 version but now that could change

It depends on how short. If you want the uber stumpy 7" then NO unless you supply the additional components. Our barrel swap service uses the existing parts from your rifle to put on the new barrel.
