    New Services from Dlask Arms Corp.

    We just wanted to let the shooting public know about a few new services we will be offering. Because we are a manufacturer and not just gunsmiths there are many things that we can do which most others cannot. Here are a few new things we have been working on;

    SR-22 :

    We now offer a service for SR-22 owners whereby you send us your receiver plus the top and bottom halves of the receiver housing and we will modify it so that you will never need to remove the top half from the receiver in order to disassemble it for cleaning ! By doing this mod you won't ever have to remove your optics or the 4 little screws holding the top half of the clam shell onto the receiver and sooner or later stripping them.

    This has always been a major flaw in the SR-22's design. In total only 4 tiny little screws, which thread into less that 1/8" of cast aluminum, hold both your optics and the top half of the clam shell to the receiver. By removing and replacing, removing and replacing these screws to clean your action you will at one point strip the threads. After we complete the modification we will loctite them in place.

    We also offer a re-threading service for your rifle receiver if this has already happened to you.

    Cost for the receiver mod is $100
    Cost for re-threading of stripped hole in top of receiver is $15/ hole.

    CZ-858 :

    We have decided to offer a new barrel service for owners of restricted versions of the 858 variant of rifles. We take your receiver and mill out the old barrel. Then it goes into our CNC mill to cut threads into it. These threads match the ones on a new 18.5" stainless steel barrel manufactured by us from US made Green Mountain blanks here at Dlask. We then install the new barrel, headspace it, drill and cross pin it. Voila, a brand new stainless steel. This will allow people with restricted versions to now change the status to non-restricted and have a new awesome made in the USA stainless barrel capable of shooting the cheap corrosive ammunition.

    Cost for this mod is to be determined by our cost of the barrel blanks. This is just being processed now and a firm number should be available in a week or so. We expect the cost to be somewhere in the $500-$600 range for the removal, threading of receiver, new barrel, installation and status change. Full meal deal.

    There will be more to come in a few weeks so stay tuned...

    It will depend on what length the blanks are, but as a rule yes we can make long barrels for them.

    I did read it, I'm simply curious as to why the need to thread the receiver.

    Because the machinery needed to remove then re-install that type of barrel is just not realistic for us to get to do 50 or 100 barrels. The other reason is because if you decide later down the road to change the barrel for whatever reason it will be a heck of a lot easier if it is threaded. Simply make a new threaded barrel, remove old and screw in new. Easy as pie.
