not quite, in canada it is with the gun locked up and measured through the end, in the states some manufactures simply pull a barrel out and measure it. Thats how the tiny HK guns were (psp ect) 104mm in the states but restricted up here. Doubt it would get you past a 2mm difference but you never knowOriginally Posted by 09outlander

That is how ATF will measure a gun sent to Tech for analysis.
When bubba saws a gun down, or it's submitted for approval for import, that's the way they will measure it.
However, they won't correct the numbers the manufacturers post.
