*UPDATE* The Ordnance Group 37mm Launchers at Dlask Arms Corp.

Like the title says we now have a shipment of 37mm flare launchers from Bates & Dittus. These are probably the best quality 37mm launchers you can buy short of putting the $4,000 out for a real, and prohib, M-203. We just got these in and are figuring out pricing today so they won't be on our website for a few hours. You can order from the website or as always you can call us at the shop.

We have 3 models in stock :

    http://www.batesanddittus.com/TBL-37_Launcher.html

    The T-12WSH (M-79 "Thumper" Clone)
    http://www.batesanddittus.com/37mm-Launcher_Sales.html

The last M-79 type we had to order special and I'm glad we did because they look absolutely outstanding in person. Top quality woodwork.

We also have the optional pistol grip attachment for the under barrel launchers :

As well as the adapters to shoot both 26.5mm & 12 gauge flares :

Please follow all Provincial and Federal laws regarding this type of launcher.

We have a limited number of these and don't know when more will be coming in so if you wait you just may be out of luck.

What kind of rounds are legally available for this in Canada?

Are there 12 gauge adapters for regular shotgun rounds available?

Chalk/dummy rounds and smoke rounds with smoke that does not negatively affect human beings.

    EDIT: And yes, flares.

Legally you can shoot whatever size flares you can find. 12 gauge & 26.5mm with an adapter or 37mm. Of course you have to follow all marine, Provincial and Federal laws regarding the use of flare launchers.

If you have a pyrotechnics license I'm sure there would be a lot more you could do but that would need to be researched thoroughly before attempting.

as for those wondering if you can shoot 12ga shotshells/slugs with the adapter...

    from the B&D site...

ATF’s Firearms Technology Branch (FTB) is aware of an insert/sleeve designed to be installed in an Orion 25mm/12 gauge flare launcher that allows the use of conventional ammunition in these flare launchers. FTB was contacted by Orion, who indicated that these flare launchers are not designed to accept standard ammunition, and that the use of an adapter in conjunction with conventional ammunition would likely result in a catastrophic failure of the flare launcher.

Or just how about the fact that using them as such would be illegal? Is that not enough?
