how does this compare to other rifles in this price range, IE Rem 700sps, Savage etc? For accuracy, quality etc? And can you get a nice wood or tactical style stock for it?

    Varmint barrel availiable?

-The American rifles have had nothing but great reviews from what I've seen with great value coming in under $500
-Quality from what we've seen on the standard American so far has been fantastic
-No wood stocks from Ruger but Boyd's is now making some
-No varmint barrel, they offer the American Predator in some great calibers with bull barrels

Here's a nice review of the rifle by Jeff at Gunblast.com

Just a quick question...I see there are two length of pull versions on Ruger's website. Are you guys getting the longer one in, or the shorter one? The 13 3/4" or the 12 1/2" LOP?

    Thanks,
    Dan

P.S. oops sorry, forgot to mention I'm inquiring about the .223 version.

Dan, we have the longer length of pull (13-3/4") versions on order in both 5.56/223 and 300 BLK.
