can you explain the difference in the ammo? IE what is 223a, 223k, 223x etc?

based on the quick search I did using 5.56 instead of .223, The ".223k" is a light armour piercing round in 62gr (similar to XM855?). Not sure of the difference between "a" and "x" other than the x is referred to as x-tac. Perhaps x-tac is more precise?
