There's no definitive answer because the laws regarding it are worded much too vaguely to be useful. My interpretation is that yes, it's a locked container specifically designed to hold firearms... So it's no different than a vault or safe... Vault and safe aren't really defined either.

O Rly? What law do you base that on? Remember we are talking storage, not display. It's specifically designed for the safe storage of firearms.

Not too mention being made out of wood would require you to trigger lock your restricted. Defeats the whole purpose of quick access.

They have them available on their web site, so my comment was for the current pricing. And compared to manufacturer pricing they are actually not too bad at all, it is just expensive out the origin...!
