    only if were your hunting is approved to use prohibited firearms....so no.

    edit. production year 2005-2006 is still ok.

    I guess I just assumed they were manufactured surplus units that were "re-purposed" not sure how serial numbers prove they were actually ever deployed and used?

    the serial number was the last step in the manufacturing process. only the 05-06 get away with being "re-purposed".

    Mr. Kallus,

    Living in Canada, I purchased a CZ 858 in good faith from a very reputable dealer. I was very happy with my purchase at the time. I now find through no fault of my own that it is prohibited and cannot use it any longer. I am not happy at all to find myself in this situation. Furthermore, I am very disappointed due to the fact that I really do like CZ firearms but just cannot buy anymore under these circumstances.
