Ya lets do a M14 shoot at Borden

I would dearly love to, but the range access at Base Borden with the ORA is very tight and understandably so; renovations at Amiens and Mons Ranges are going on. Now I do have to promote Ganderite's Matches (he's the Match Director). You see he runs the "Vintage Rifle" matches but it's turning out more and more to "bring what you got" match; nevertheless he has a great turnout and loads of fun! These matches are shot at Winona Range, around the Grimsby area outside of Hamilton. That's a really cool arrangement because now the Niagara Peninsula shooters have a chance to get out and shoot their surplus rifles or AR's or M14's or M1Garands or Lee Enfields, etc.

Right now it's hard for LR shooters in the ORA to 'stretch their legs' past the 500 yards at Base Borden. But like all things in life everything is temporary and nothing lasts forever so, the renovations, too will pass!

Meanwhile we should count our blessings that the PR Match is happening this coming weekend of 09-10 May 2015 and we have a chance to shoot up to 600 meters.
