    MechTech Glock Carbine

    Thoughts? Potential import?

Edit: As some people are confused, the receiver is a Glock. The Glock has an FRT. The upper replaces the slide and doesn't need an FRT as it is just an accessory. No, it won't be non restricted with an 18.5 inch barrel as it is using a handgun receiver. There are also kits for the 1911 and xd/xdm series of handguns.

No FRT needed for the Mechtech upper, all you need is a Glock lower so if you have a G17 just slide the lower in and you're set to go. I have 2 in 45acp (both bought off the EE). Very accurate and cool.

I have one in 9mm for my G17. Bought it at a gun show. Nice thing about them is they have an actual long barrel unlike most conversions. It's accurate...

I THINK Freedom Ventures used to import them, but stopped years back.

Just watched Hickok's video too! Very cool piece!!

Is this considered Restricted? My wife and I are just waiting for our PAL to come in. We just applied for the Non-Restricted PAL. If one were to buy a used assembled gun with the Glock/1911 lower already on it, its just a rifle isn't it?

barrel needs to be over 18.6 inches to be NR. another issue, it is a Glock/1911 lower, which is the "gun/registered" part of the gun. How did you exactly pass your PAL course and not learn the requirements for NR and R?
