I'm not disputing that these knives ARE beautiful, and no doubt superb quality, and that's great if you have a 'regiment' or NATO paying for it for you, but to me, these are mostly works of technical art, and I doubt I would take something like this into the field or to a tactical range to actually use, as I'd hate to ding up a knife worth 4, 5, or 6 hundred bucks. That's just me, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I buy more moderatley priced stuff (you can call it junk if you want, stilll does the job) that I can afford to knock around and not shed a tear over if it's get nicked. I'd love to buy one of these beauties, but then it would likely end up getting mounted on the wall just for display or something, maybe even framed, for the work of bladesmithing art it is. ;-D

The idea behind buying an ER is that instead of going through several moderately or cheap priced stuff you get one thing that can hold up to a lifetime of abuse. Lifetime warranty as well.

Does ER still make a bayonet that fits the Swiss Arms Classic Green?

I agree 100% that's why I bought 2 cold steel Recon 1's for less than 1/2 the price of one of these. They've held up for almost 6 years so far.
